In 1958, Central Engineering Company was developed to design and supply aero engine test cells and testing capabilities.
Since 1961, Cenco Belgium, a division of Techspace Aero, has operated and maintained four (4) 7 X 7 Meter Test cells in Liege, Belgium. During this time Cenco Belgium also completed numerous Military Hush Houses and Commercial Fan and Turboshaft Test Cell Projects.
In 2003, Cenco United States and Cenco Belgium were combined to become Cenco International and today they form the Safran Group Center of Excellence for test cell engineering.
