Indoor Turboshaft Turboprop Test Cell
Snecma / Europrop International – TP400 development test cell – 2006
Europrop International (EPI) is the designer and manufacturer of the largest western-made turboprop engine. The TP400 engine powers the European carrier Airbus A400M.Snecma, as one of the partners of the EPI consortium, is co-responsible for the engine development. Specific engine tests were then performed through its sister company Techspace Aero, including bird strikes, water ingestion, etc.
Cenco was responsible for the complete adaptation of one of Techspace Aero’s turbojet test cell into a turboprop development test cell.
Our scope of work included the design of the complete water system, design and supply of the test bed, design and supply of the complete Data Acquisition and Control System, including an extensive Dynamic Measurement System.
